Alberta’s oil & gas cleanup crisis is growing
Across the province, thousands of aging and abandoned oil wells, pipelines, and storage tanks are rusting away, leaking toxic chemicals into the air, soil, and groundwater.
Alberta’s Mature Asset Strategy (MAS) is the government’s plan to deal with this crisis by making taxpayers clean up aging and abandoned oil and gas infrastructure.
They are planning to push this plan through this spring, but we can still stop them.
